Patient Protection Plan Eligibility Requirements

The Patient Protection Plan (PPP) is available to individuals who have a Commercial Insurance plan not contracted with Athena. The plan must also include a genetic testing benefit if the test being ordered is a genetic test. The Patient Protection Plan is not available in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas. Individuals who wish to take part in the Patient Protection Plan must enroll within 21 days of Athena’s receipt of the specimen. Enrollment is easy. Click here to view the simple step by step process.
